By 1911 Francis was dead and Celia had lost 7 of the 9 children she gave birth to. Even though a widow, the details were recorded of the 'completed years the present

marriage had lasted' - 46 years.

- Anne died 1917 in Philadelphia during the flu epidemic

The family emigrated to America on board the SS Astoria, arriving NY 2 Mar 1905

- they were in possession of over $50 and both John and Anne had been in Philadelphia in 1883

- they were going to join their son David, living at 1213 Belmont Ave, Philadelphia
