Witnesses Cornelius & Mary McGrenra, Cabry. Note of 3rd & 4th degree consanguinity - see scan of marriage Peter's family - see 1901 census Carrickyscanlan Anne's family - see 1901 census Fahykeen Peter remarried in 1902 to Mary Campbell, Kilmacrenan - no children Children of Peter and Anne : John Charles b 12 Jan 1887 - left Ireland soon after his mother Annie died in 1898, due to starvation - he walked from Carrickascanlan, near Church Hill to Londonderry bound for Scotland when he was just 12 years old - on arrival in Scotland, he went to work in the coal mines where he remained until his retirement - he lived until 1963 - he married Sarah McManus in 1908 and they had 8 children - Sarah McManus-Ward died aged 46 in 1937 from pneumonia, when one of her youngest children was just 13 years old Charles Ward Mary Anne Peter b 9 Mar 1892, baptised 10 Mar at St Mary's, Godparents Nathaniel Lynch and Rose Lynch - see scan of baptism - Peter is with his paternal grandmother in 1901 - see 1901 census Carrickyscanlan Denis Researcher: Angela - Email |
