	Notes: In 1917, James applied for the old age pension, giving his parent's names as Frank Gallagher and Nancy Doherty. He indicated the townlands to search the 1851 census for the family were Manorcunningham and Raymoghy - the family was not found The 1857 Griffith's Valuation shows a Francis Gallagher renting a house and just over 5 acres of land from Mary Anne Saunderson in Manorcunningham Frank (Francis) died 1877 and Nancy died 1887 Churchland - see OS map & valuation Children of Frank and Nancy : 1. Margery 2. James 3. Sarah Anne - married Alexander Peoples 5 Jan 1860. Emigrated to Brooklyn, America where Alexander & dau Anne died in 1880 - Sarah Anne returned to Donegal with children James, John and Sarah - she died in Mar 1881 Children of Alexander and Sarah Anne : 1. Ann baptised in Drumoghill 26 Oct 1862 by Rev Fr Michael Martin, Godparents Bernard Cullen & Ann Cullen 2. James born Carrygally, Leck 8 Nov 1864 3. John born Pluck, Leck, 25 Oct 1866 - joined Scottish Rifles on 29th June 1886 at Hamilton Barracks Glasgow. He was a Pte in the 2nd Royal Innishkilling Fusiliers when he died at Cambridge Military Hospital, Aldershot, England On 2 Mar 1889. He was buried 5 Mar 1889 at the Aldershot Military Cemetery plot Y 1319. He had died of tubercle of lung at 21 years of age 4.
