Note: This marriage took place on the same day as Mary Sheamie Mhanuis’s to Manus Sharkey. The two Cruit James O’Donnells having children married on the same day seems rather coincidental, so this may be a brother and sister double wedding. ‘The Story of the Rosses’ mentions a Crerand niece of Father Dan who kept house for him. This suggests that Francis Crerand’s wife was a sister of Father Dan from Glenswilly. However, the names of the witnesses, Francis and Honora Doherty, suggest that Francis Crerand and his daughter were in some way connected to the Dohertys of Belcruit. However, the Crerands do seem to have been Father Dan's heirs, as in 1901 Dominic and Honorah were living in Belcruit next to a Crerand spinster, on a plot formerly owned by Father Dan.
