Near Dunfanaghy, LIEUTENANT CARRINGTON, Royal Navy, where he had been formerly stationed. Although belonging to, and distinguished by high connections, he spent his last few years by the " world forgot." His remains were deposited in the ancient graveyard of Doe Castle. On reaching the estate of Captain Hart, the Union flag was lowered, and minute guns fired as a tribute of respect due to a comrade in arms

During the late snow storm a man named RODDY DIVER, went to the village of Creeslough, county Donegal, and remained drinking in a public house, till he became intoxicated to such a degree, unable to return home, he was made a bed for the night in that house. In the morning his body was found burned to a cinder, and could not be removed until it was placed in a coffin

The body of JOHN C. MCKELVEY, who was drowned on the evening of the 19th March, in Sheephaven Bay was washed ashore on the 18th ult., on the sand banks nearly opposite to the Bar of Ards. The deceased was identified by the clothes he was wearing at the time of the accident together with his watch. Prior to entering the curragh he had shown the watch to the coastguard at Downing's. The watch had shown the time of five minutes to six o'clock and when recovered was stopped at exactly a quarter past six allowing for the time to reach the curragh and get under way it was considered that he had been on the water for not more than ten minutes when the tragedy had occurred. There has been no trace as yet of the body of his companion William Baker

On Thursday, the 19th inst., an inquest was held at Dunfanaghy, before F.G. Long, Esq., Coroner on the body of a man named JOHN MCLAUGHLIN, a shoemaker, aged 38 years, a native of Rathmullan, who had been residing in Dunfanaghy for the past nine months. It appears that deceased had retired to rest at an early hour on the previous evening, apparently in good health, and was found dead the following morning. FRANCIS CLARKE, ESQ., M.D., of Dunfanaghy, who examined the body immediately after death, stated that the cause of death was the internal rupture of an internal blood vessel

During the late snow storm, THOMAS MCFADDEN, who was in the employ of MRS. E. NIXON, postmistress of Dunfanaghy, left Glen, a small village about three miles from Creeslough, in order to return home. He, accompanied by a young man from Dunfanaghy, was driving a bread cart belonging to his employer. After leaving the village, McFadden, because of the wind sweeping the snow into heavy wreaths, made the road almost impassable, decided to return to Glen, much against the advice and wishes of his companion. His body was found the next day on the road side, he leaves a wife and six children

The driver of a bread cart between Dunfanaghy and Carrigart, named O'DONNELL, perished in the late snow. The horse was capsized in a sow wreath on the road between Carrigart and Lackagh Bridge, and the poor driver perished
