The standing stone that is known as 'Cloch an Stolaire'. There is little written or oral history relating to the
stone but it has been an important part of the landscape of this townland of Cnoc an Stolaire for as long
as people can remember. The view is to the east, along the banks of the Gweedore River, which marks
the boundary between Gaoth Dobhair and the Rosses. This is an ancient boundary and Cloch an Stolaire
may have been a boundary marker.
