CAPTAIN DRAKE of the 92nd Highlanders and HENRY LIPSETT of Londonderry were drowned in the River Foyle on Tuesday last. They had been out sailing and when turning the sand bank at Coolnarget the boat partly capsized and was filled with water. Both men jumped into the water and sank. When they rose they tried to swim ashore but a wave struck them, and both went down together and were presumably washed out to sea. Captain Drake was young, unmarried and heir to a large property. Mr. Lipsett was a young man who was married upwards of a year to a daughter of the late CAPTAIN McINTIRE of this City [marriage at Ballyshannon announced April 5 1845], by whom he had one child. Yesterday evening the body of Captain Drake was discovered by some persons who brought it to shore and they had it conveyed to the barracks
