Daniel Gallagher was the son of Peter Gallagher and Catherine McCauley.
Daniel and Mary arrived in Boston on 6 May 1884 on the 'Prussian' going to Beaver Island with family Patrick, Kate, Hugh, Peter, Rose, Mary and Anne.
They were accompanied by several Arranmore families, sponsored by Fr Peter Gallagher, Beaver Island.
They also had a son Daniel (1864 - 1955) who returned to Inniskeeragh in 1909 and in Jan 1910 married Mary Gallagher (1884 - 1964), dau of Patrick and Fanny Gallagher, Annagry.
