Welcome to Donegal Genealogy Resources!
I started this website in 1998 to help me organise my family research in Co Donegal. Since then there have been many changes, but two things have remained constant :
The continuing addition of free-to-access records and the little clover, below, who has been madly waving for almost 20 years!!
This website, consisting of over 3000 pages, is a compilation of C18th to early C20th resources I have collected myself or that have been submitted by other researchers.
It is essentially my research and my interest, so please note that I am not providing a service for people - I am just sharing what is a very enjoyable hobby/obsession
on a wonderful Irish County (the Best!)
If I have made errors in transcriptions or added family notes to a wrong family etc, please let me know, but don't (as some people have) tell me off for it -
that is unacceptable and just plain rude!
Please also note that I cannot undertake research for anyone, even if I'd like to! Aside from this research being much more enjoyable & satisfying if you do it
yourself, the more time I spend on queries, the less time I have to transcribe and add records to this website.
Although...................... if you're REALLY stuck..................I will often see what I can do to point you in the right direction!
