Notes : James McDevitt, 38, Kilmacreddan, son of Patrick, married Rose Boyle, 22, Kilmacreddan, dau of Robert, 11 Dec 1888. Witnesses Neil McHugh and George Henderson - James was in Drumadart in 1871, when he was the informant for the death of Edward McCauley, 65, Kilmacreddan, an unmarried farmer - in 1876 James was in Kilmacreddan, when he was the informant for the death of Biddy McCawley, 64, spinster - in 1877 he was still in Kilmacreddan, when he was the informant for the death of Mary McCauley, 74 - connection between James and the McCawleys? - when Edward McCauley died in 1871, his letters of administration (he did not leave a will) were granted to Rose Mulreany of Kilmacreddan, wife of Dan Mulreany and sister to Edward McCauley Rose dau of Robert Boyle and Anne Mulreany, above James d 26 Mar 1917 aged 76 years, chronic bronchitis and asthma McDaid death in Kilmacreddan : Frank McDaid 7 Apr 1899 aged 87, a widower and farmer.
